To make this delicious smoothie, you will first need to slice and caramelize two bananas in the butter. I did this by getting the butter melted on medium to low heat, and then laying the banana slices into the hot skillet. Flipping the bananas once after a couple minutes and cooking time to total 4-5 minutes will make them perfect.
Pop those bananas into the freezer to chill for thirty minutes or even longer. You could make up several servings of these and freeze them for future use.
Once the bananas are chilled, dump them in your blender, followed by the oats, maca powder, chia seeds, ground cinnamon, and the almond milk last.
Blend on high until smooth.
Pour into glasses and add a tiny sprinkle of salt to the top. I got a little fancy, and saved out one banana slice for the top of each smoothie, then topped that with salt. But fancy is not necessary! The tiny bit of salt really made the smoothies over the top!
