I’ve been enjoying the burgundy Red Velvet Delights so much, I wanted a green cookie to add to my holiday plates for the neighbors. I decided it would be a simple thing to add green food coloring to a white cake mix. Then I started thinking about adding flavoring. After much debate, I decided to go with mint. Any color would work great, you could make pink (strawberry cake mix) and blue (white cake mix with blue food coloring) for a shower, or purple for a little girl, or orange for fall. If you like mint, the version Caleb and I made with 1/2 teaspoon of mint flavoring are quite yummy! However, they would also work great without flavoring, or with the flavoring of your choice — lemon, lime, anything. Oh, think of the possibilities!
1 White Cake Mix
1 Eight Ounce container of Cool Whip
1 Egg
1/2 Teaspoon Flavoring (Mint is what we chose.)
Roll in powdered sugar and bake on a greased cookie sheet for ten minutes at 350*.
Food Coloring to desired color.
