Advent calendars are a great visual way to count down to Christmas. This Christmas Activities Advent calendar is great for family time. It can also encourage trying new things, and just really enjoying the time you have with your kids!

25 Christmas Activities Advent Calendar Bingo

See a play (many high schools and colleges have plays or concerts around this time of year)

Make sugar cookies (sugar cookies are the best Christmas cookie – no contest!)

Do a craft (Pinterest and blogs have many simple, low-budget craft ideas!)

Have a coloring contest (Crayola has some fun Christmas coloring pages)

Make snow angels

Do something kind (check out these random acts of kindness ideas)

Build snow forts

Make hot cocoa (peppermint hot cocoa is amazing!)

Go ice skating

View Christmas lights

Make puppy chow

Collect pinecones

Have an indoor sleepover (make a small fort or tent right in the living room!)

Build a birdhouse

Complete a jigsaw puzzle

Read a book

Go sledding

Build a snowman

Make a popcorn garland (popcorn garlands look great on trees, or you could make one just for fun, and then eat it! 🙂

Family game night (Scattergories and Pay Day are my favorite for older kids, and Candy Land and Don’t Wake Daddy are my favorites for younger kids)

Have a winter photo shoot (dress up and have fun!)

Make chili (it is one of the best way to warm yourself up during winter’s coldest nights)

Dance to Christmas music

Make fake snow (you can also use this with a winter weather unit study)
