Christmas is a wonderful reminder to focus on Joy. Everyday is a time to find joy in the journey, to focus on the joys of all that we are blessed with and to parent with joy. Christmas hones that focus for me every single year. It’s like a reset. As my daughter says, we start the day after Thanksgiving – baking, decorating, coloring pictures, celebrating Advent and basically enjoying the journey together more than any other month of the year as we focus on the birth of Christ and the blessings he has given us. But sometimes, as a mom, Joy is hard. Especially at this time of year. So this is a list of unique gifts for moms who need joy.
One of the ways I bring that focus on Joy into our lives is through our Christmas decorations, music and books that showcase Joy. I have been collecting ornaments, wall-hangings, pillows, jewelry, and everything JOY or REJOICE for several years. I get a few more Joy ornaments or decorations every single year. I’ve already bought one ornament and one sign from Hobby Lobby this year, and it isn’t even Thanksgiving yet! They are tangible reminders when I am tempted to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life. They bring a smile to my face. I have linked to some of my favorites and some on my wish list for you here. Perhaps you know someone who needs a little reminder to find the Joy in God’s gifts this year.
This is my heart. These are things I would love to receive as a Mom, a woman, a child of God. My prayer is that the Christmas Joy gift guide will be a blessing to you as you search for that perfect gift to speak life into the heart of someone you love. A gift for moms who need joy.

We do a small family Christmas at home.
Thank you for making these giveaways possible. Blessings to whomever wins.
As we don’t live anywhere near “family” we usually just have a small family time together. If we know of any friends not having anywhere to go then we invite them over to join us. Small and simple usually works well.
A small family Christmas at home.
We spend Christmas with my parents and brother and other family members during the holidays.
We’ll spend the holidays in Texas with family.
We get together with the whole family and have dinner and play games.
I celebrate at home with my husband and kids, my mother and siblings live in another state and my father is deceased so i cant actually be with them. I do however take time to call them on Christmas day.
We are celebrating with a homemade advent, an advent wreath, and Jesse Tree ornaments that my boys color while I read.
Going home for Christmas after a long time away from home will be plenty a celebration for me!
We celebrate Advent with devotions. We do a lot of baking, singing, wrapping, and decorating. Also, our church does activities for the community all month long, so lots of service opportunities!
My plan is to slow down after this crazy week and ENJOY…
That’s a good plan. :0
Nothing fancy this year. Just a simple celebration of the profound birth of Jesus 🙂
We celebrate with friends and relatives for days. Each day a different group, and Christmas Eve & Day reserved for celebrations of Christ’s birth.
