Driving across our great country for ten days has been a great way to appreciate the beauty and variety that is our United States of America.

If you are not from the United States, please forgive me for today, while I wax eloquent.

We left California expecting beautiful national parks and great highways, and we were not disappointed. A complete lack of internet service and very little cell coverage from California to Iowa helped put into perspective those things which are most important. It also made my teenagers a tiny bit crazy.

Here we are in the final days of our trip, and I find myself wishing for just one more day in the cabin near buffalo. Our July 4th celebration will be especially poignant this year, and I will never listen to America the Beautiful quite the same way again.

July 4th is a great time to reflect on our great nation. Here are 27 FREE printable pages with patriotic themes to have your kids record their independence day memories.

As you celebrate July 4th, consider having your children write down a few precious memories of the day on these sweet July 4th printables.
