Are you excited about getting Back-To-Homeschool? One of the things that helps my attitude and the attitude of my kids (we’d rather have a few more weeks at the pool) is to plan special ways to celebrate during the first week. Sometimes, we have Silly String Wars. Some years we build tents in the living room. Pretty much every year, we start on the same day (the day after Labor Day).

Back to Homeschool Printable Set for Homeschooling

My oldest daughter and I purchase special “surprise” school supplies together and pull them out the night before to set up at our table. Each child comes in after breakfast to find their “stash” of school supplies and goodies ready to go and we spend time looking at all the fun stuff.

After the dust settles, I spend a few minutes with each child going over the expectations we have for them — subjects, due diligence, material — whatever needs to be explained. Once I’ve talked to each child one-on-one, we go out to lunch. Back at home, we put away our school supplies and watch a fun educational movie. And that ends our first day.

On the second day, we ease into school adding just a couple of subjects. By the end of the first week, everyone has at least gotten started in every subject and we’ve started getting a feel for how the days will run.

To help you celebrate Back-To-School homeschooling style, I’ve created this fun printable. It includes some writing opportunities if you want to have a little structure, and also includes some coloring pages and some fun decorated writing papers for notebooking or journaling. This free file is 21 pages in length. I hope it blesses you!
