Sometimes, my kids and I do really, really fun things. Not every day mind you. I can’t keep up the level of energy needed to be one of those moms. But we do enjoy making special crafts — especially for the holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas. This week, we made Peppermint Playdough. And we didn’t just make Peppermint Playdough, we made Edible Peppermint Playdough. And we called it Candy Cane Playdough… (It’s more fun that way somehow.)

Edible Candy Cane Playdough is yummy!

Turns out Edible Candy Cane Playdough is the perfect activity to do right after you read The Legend of the Candy Cane.

Today, I am sharing over at Blessed Beyond a Doubt with a Free Printable Recipe for Edible Candy Cane Playdough, and the story of our adventure making it. I hope you will hop on over there and print it out! I’ve also put together some fun Peppermint and Candy Cane resources (see below) for you to enjoy with The Legend of the Candy Cane story with your kids. It happens to be one of our favorite books to read during December. Plus, get your FREE Candy Cane Coloring page! The download link is at the bottom of this post.
