Everyone is talking about STEM these days. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math. These subjects are considered the most important subjects/skill sets you can teach your child in this generation.

Then there are those who argue that STEM without art is pointless because art helps develop your child’s brain so that it is STEM receptive. STEM with art added is called STEAM. Both are becoming by-words in education right now. I’m focusing on STEM in this post, because I have already covered a variety of art-related topics and art is not getting ignored in our homeschool.

Interested in adding science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to your classroom? See our list of 25 Totally Awesome Free STEM Books for your Homeschool.

But what does this have to do with your homeschool? How can you have an added FOCUS on STEM in your homeschool? Living books are a great place to start. Saturating your library and read-aloud time or reading assignments with a great collection of living books on the subjects of science, technology, engineering, and math will help expose your child to STEM as a part of life.

Thank you so much for this list! I did snag all of the free ones but many of them have gone back up. I can use the list though to look at my local library. Thanks so much! Blessings!

A lady pointed out that even though it says a price it actually is free for Kindle. Whoohoo! I did get them for free. Just thought I would come back and add that discovery. At the very top it says free for kindle even though it lists a 99 cents kindle price. Again, thank you so much!

Actually – they charged me and used a refund credit I had on my account. So, some of them are no longer free like I said in my original post. I am still glad to have this awesome list and to find out about STEM! Thank you!
