New Minecraft books are being published all the time. It’s pretty exciting for my family because I have six Minecraft fans! Whether your child is struggling to get interested in reading or just looking for more books to devour, we’ve pulled together an incredible list of Minecraft books kids will love and today we updated it for 2019 with the most recent books and links.

Minecraft Guides
Since Minecraft has changed drastically since it was conceived and subsequently purchased by Microsoft, its important to get the most recent guide books possible. We chose Minecraft guides written by the development team so the information comes straight from the source and contains insider secrets.
This set of four Minecraft guides is official from Mojang and fairly new – published in 2018. They detail everything you need to know about red stone, the nether, the end game, exploring, creative worlds and more!
You can also get the Official Guide To Enchantments and Potions from the Mojang team published in 2018.

Minecraft Fiction
We Want Our Kids Reading! Am I right? I would much, much rather see my kids with their noses in a book than having noses in electronics all the time. But if we can’t get them interested in reading or can’t provide an endless supply of books for those voracious readers, we lose them to the screens.
My nine-year-old, in particular, is struggling with reading. He’s doing okay – but it is hard for him and it takes forever, so he doesn’t think that books are any fun. A few weeks ago, he actually came to me and asked “Mommy – are there any books about Minecraft?” And of course – I was ALL OVER that one. I got one for the Kindle right away.
But he wants to hold a book in his hand, not read on the Kindle. It was important to him that I listened to his request, got him some physical books that were “just his” and were on subjects that he was interested in (Minecraft and Ninjas for example). I’m trying to foster a love of reading in this boy – so I want to work with his interests and preferences as much as possible!

These books can also be useful for Moms who are learning to play Minecraft to spend time with their kids, but (come on, admit it) might have a slower learning curve when it comes to these new-fangled sandbox gaming experiences.
