Reluctant writers of all ages will be inspired by these fun Minecraft writing prompts. In fact, my children are thrilled with the idea of using Minecraft for writing! My nine-year-old has started his own blog, my twelve-year-old has written down her story and wants to start blogging soon, and my oldest has been using Minecraft to inspire her stories for a long time.
Use these writing prompts as a way to inspire ideas for journaling, essay writing, creative story writing, or however it works in your homeschool.

1. The Mysterious Temple
On a walk in the woods, you discover this mysterious temple hidden away. Describe what you find when you venture inside.
2. The Dog
A small grey dog is standing in front of you. Who is this dog? Where did he come from? Where is he going? What is his story?
3. The Desert Castle
How did you come to be standing at the entrance of this castle in the desert? Share your journey.
4. Rain on the Water
Your boat is becalmed in this rainstorm. What happens next?
5. Approaching in Boats
Your boat is approaching an unidentified shore. Describe your adventure.
6. The Grist Mill
Your family is bringing in your annual crop of corn to the mill. Describe the sites, sounds, smells, and tastes surrounding your experience at the mill.
